Have got something for you in this one! đź‘€

Proma Nautiyal

Hey there,

First of all here’s wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year! May this year bring you the peace that we all yearn for, good health and the good sense to ensure good health, and a flourishing career.

On a personal note, this new year I am focusing on ensuring good health. I have set up my Notion account with all kinds of templates that are necessary to keep me accountable. Right from Journal, Habit Tracker, & Budget templates to daily planners which have been a regular thing for me since I was 8 years old.

On the work front, while things have been great, I have pretty much been all over the place. Given the fact that I am marketer, staying away from social media is not really an option for me. As such, I kind of found myself catapulting through the worm hole without an exit in sight.

But now, I have hit reset. This is what’s great about New Years. They serve as a wake up alarm that makes you start afresh.

So here it is, my New Year’s gift to you to ensure accountability in your own lives and a timeless Time Management Trick that is highly underrated.

Create an excel/Google Sheet in which you consciously keep track of what you’re doing every half an hour. For example, at sharp 1 pm you find yourself having lunch, you write “Having lunch” next to 1 pm. At 1:30 pm, you find yourself scrolling Twitter, then you write “scrolling Twitter” next to 1:30 pm.

This sheet will give you a glimpse of the activities that you perform unconsciously but can be replaced by more productive activities, not only work wise but self improvement wise as well.

Again, for example, try to replace the “scrolling Twitter” with “reading a book” or “dancing like there’s no tomorrow” from time-to-time.

You get the essence, right?

This is better than binding yourself with time slots as it tends to make us feel like victims of our own planning system. This method helps you make a conscious choice of doing something that you know is better for you.

If you do try it, please do share with me how it went for you…would love to hear your experience.

Once again, thank you for being the wonderful person you are. You deserve the very best!

Until next time…

Cheers,

Proma
