Losing yourself in the noise
And finding yourself back again
We are up 24*7. Our bodies might be resting but our minds are worked up with so much information overload that it is only natural to want to cut off from the noise every now and then.
I have been there and done that. Gone into the so-called radio silence, as much as the internet would allow me to without hurting my social media reach.
Just like ants hoard up on their food inventory for the winters, I would line up tweets and posts on my social media scheduling tool for the times I would want to just go away.
And then, there’s just peace. Silence. No talking. No replying.
This exercise is a necessity for everyone who has a busy social media presence. This space to introspect, find yourself, and have honest and genuine conversations with yourself is much needed fuel if you want to really grow in life.
If you find yourself in a soup at the thought of cutting off from social for a few days…maybe you are addicted to it to an extent and that needs to be checked and corrected.
Finding yourself is crucial to the authentic conversations we speak about so much when it comes to content creation and topics like personal branding.
How can you be authentic if you are just echoing what everyone’s saying?
It’s time to find yourself.
So go ahead…tune out…to tune into yourself.
That’s all from me this week.
Do check out my post on LinkedIn on being yourself. Hope you like it.
Have a fab week ahead!
Best always,
