In this issue:

3. Must read articles that will add an edge to your career and brand

Hey there, 👋🏼

Are you done binging on the newest season of Stranger Things? And are you as disappointed as me to be left hanging at such a cliffhanger?

Don’t worry, that’s all I am going to share about Hellfire Club, so no spoilers here!

I guess social media platforms, too, have been busy watching the series as this week hasn’t been as eventful as it usually is.

Although, Instagram has done something to show its love for Stranger Things, so if you haven’t figured it out yet, read on!

This week’s social media updates

🎬 YouTube — Bigger AI Toolkit + Communities on Desktop

YouTube just expanded access to its generative-AI features and boosted the power of Shorts editing. New options in YouTube Create now let you auto-generate Shorts (with sound and visuals), auto-edit raw footage into polished clips, and even turn speech into song. Plus, YouTube’s “Communities” feature (previously mobile-only) is now available on desktop. That means easier community-building, posting polls or updates, and linking people back to your channel.

Make this work for you: If you create video content, this update slashes production time. You can draft, edit and repurpose Shorts in minutes. And with Communities on desktop, you get a new space to engage your audience a mini private forum for fans, clients or subscribers. Use this to build stronger relationships, tease new offers or share behind-the-scenes.

🎞️ Edits App (Meta) — More Creative Control for Video & Reels

Meta’s Edits video app added masking tools (for layered overlays/transitions), automatic volume ducking (so your voiceover stays clear over music), and for fun a “Stranger Things” font to ride upcoming pop-culture buzz.

Make this work for you: If you post on Instagram, Facebook or Reels, Edits just became a stronger alternative to heavy editing software. It gives you speed + style: cinematic transitions, clean audio, and a chance to tap into trending visual aesthetics (hello Stranger Things hype). Great for storytelling, brand-themed drops, or product promos.

🔁 What These Updates Mean for Your Content Workflow

  • Faster turnarounds: No need for long editing pipelines; now you can shoot, AI-edit, and publish in one go.

  • More reach + engagement: Videos + community features = double opportunity to connect (short-form + community-driven trust).

  • Creative agility: You can test formats quickly —> Shorts, Stories, Reels, community posts without heavy resource drain.

  • Lower friction for video adoption: If you’ve been resisting video because “it’s too much work,” these updates lower the barrier significantly.

🔮 What You Could Do This Week

  • Try generating a Short with YouTube’s AI tools. Record raw footage, auto-edit, add shorts-ready music and test it.

  • Open a Community on YouTube (if you have a channel) to start building a loyal circle. Tease new content, do Q&As, or share behind-the-scenes.

  • Create a Reel or video post in Edits using masking + smooth audio. Maybe a “day in the life,” a product showcase, or brand story.

  • Compare how fast video content can be created now vs before. If it’s faster use that freed-up time for strategy, email sequences, or lead magnets.
